Richard Buro Scholarship

This scholarship was established to honor the life of Richard Buro. He was a life-long resident of Temple and alumnus of THS Class of 1971. He had a long career at TISD serving as an Educational Diagnostician, Media Center Coordinator, Network Administrator, and, eventually, returned to his true calling as a classroom teacher at Bonham Middle School. Students may apply who intend to fulfill a post-secondary school’s certificate or degree program and study either science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).
