About Joe Greene Scholarship

After graduating from Dunbar High School in 1965, Joe Greene attended North Texas State University. In the 1969 NFL draft, he was fourth overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He helped lead the Steelers to become a sports dynasty team, winning the Steelers four Super Bowl championships in a six-year span. In 2016 he was named TEF’s Distinguished Alumni. His extraordinary determination to overcome barriers has motivated and inspired many others to pursue their dreams.
