About The Steakley Family Dan Lawrence McClaren Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2023 to honor the life of Dan Lawrence McClaren, THS alumni and THS swimmer. McClaren swam for the boys relay team that won gold in the 1987 Texas State Meet and also qualified for the Junior Nationals in the 400-medley. This scholarship is to be awarded to a THS swimmer who intends to fulfill a post-secondary certificate or degree plan.
